This Weeks Notes

  • The U-16s claimed a spot in the A League Shield Final after a 2-14 to 2-07 win over Tourlestrane. A dominant first half saw us only lead by the minimum at half time, 1-4 to 1-3 as we were rather wasteful in front of goal. However the lads never let it affect their performance as they drove on to claim a win. We had big performances all over the pitch, with Tony Fox and Jack Foley particularly impressive. The Final takes place Monday evening 11th May at 7pm in Mullinabreena Vs Tubbercurry
  • The senior men battled to a 1-14 to 1-11 win over St. Marys. Best on the day was Simon Cashman with a dynamic performance in the centre of the park. This puts our league campaign back on track after a poor performance last time out. A good result but still a lot more to come from this team with some more commitment during the week.
  • The second team were due to take on St. Farnans on Sunday in Templeboy however an unplayable pitch meant the fixture had to be called off for another date.
  • Thanks to all who participated in our first Saturday morning coaching session. 40 kids took part in a thoroughly enjoyable hour. These sessions will continue each Saturday throughout the summer from 10:30 to 11:30, and is open to join any time for children between 4 and 12, girls and boys, for novices and for those honing their skills, the session is open to all. Thanks also to all the coaches who helped out this morning, their time is greatly appreciated.
