The men’s senior team begin their championship campaign on Sunday with Tourlestrane providing the opposition at an earlier time of 11am in Tubbercurry.
Last month’s Division 3 success provided the team a massive lift with the first target of the year achieved, but that is a distant memory now as we focus on the championship campaign.
Tourlestrane will provide stiff opposition. Since we won in Tourlestrane in early May in a very tight division 3 game, they had some notable results including a draw with Ballymote and a big win against Cloonacool.
On the injury front Simon Cashman is out for the season with a serious Achilles injury, with Gary Anderson doubtful for this weekend with a hand injury. Ross Taheny comes into the squad to add to the competition for places in the middle third.
Training has gone well recent weeks, which we will look to bring to Kilcoyne Park on Sunday.
Calling on all Gaels supporters make the journey to Tubber on Sunday to cheer on our lads.
