It is with heartfelt sorrow the club have learned of the passing of Owen Sweeney, Carricknagat. Father of our chairperson, senior player and minor manager Trevor and U-14 girls manager Anthony. His grandchildren Leah, Conor and Ryan represent the club at various levels. A well known and popular man in the town Owen has fought a courageous battle against aggressive illness over the past few months. To his wife Patsy, children Trevor, Anthony, Damien, Jacinta, Karen, Gillian and to his numerous grandchildren and extended family the club extends our deepest sympathies. Funeral Arrangements:

Owen Sweeney, Carricknagat, Collooney, Co. Sligo. Reposing at his residence today from 4pm to 10pm and Saturday from 2pm to 10pm. Removal on Sunday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Collooney, arriving for 1pm funeral mass. Followed by burial in St. Nathy’s Cemetery, Collooney.
