This weeks Notes

 

* It was with sadness the club learned of the passing of John Taheny, Union, Collooney. Deepest sympathies are extended to his wife Carmel and his five sons, Damian, Michael, Adrian, Ian and Jarlath. Johns family is steeped in Owenmore Gaels past and present, on and off the playing field and have always been a fantastic support to the club. Ar dheis de go raibh a anam

* The Club will hold a final registration night this Friday March 20th. Can all members and players not yet registered please do so on Friday. Contact Conor Healy with any queries 0863367069

* The club are holding an area tournament at the Easter weekend. The Tournament will consist of the areas: Carrickbanagher, Ballinacarrow, Collooney Town, Gleann Road, Ballisodare, and Knockbeg. If interested in playing contact Niall Hodgins on 0877609420.

* The U-16s got their league campaign off to a winning start in Coola against Shamrock Gaels on Sunday. The Boys triumphed on a scoreline of 1-8 to 1-7. The Club would like to wish them the best for the year ahead. Their next game is on Sunday 22nd against St. Molaise Gaels ay Connolly Park, Throw-in 11:30am

* The seniors start their division 3 campaign this Saturday against Drumcliffe Rosses Point in Connolly Park. Throw in is at 5pm. Please come out and support.

* There is a code of ethics and practice course been held by the club in the coming weeks. Anyone who wishes to be involved in the coaching of any team must take part. For more details please contact Jason Farrell on 0861034731.
